Who this is about

This website belongs to Mercatus Digital Solutions. Mercatus Digital Solutions decides what happens to the details you send.

What is collected, and why

Only what you type, and only when you choose to send it.

  • If you use the contact form: your name, email address, your message, the phone number and project you choose to add, the time you sent it, and the internet address the message came from (kept to stop automated abuse). It is used to answer you, and nothing else. The form asks you to tick a box first, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time by asking.
  • If Mercatus Digital Solutions gives you a sign-in for your own projects: your name, email address, any phone number you gave them, the projects that are yours, the messages between you, and when you last signed in. It is used to keep you up to date with your own work.
  • Everyone: the site itself sets one cookie, which holds nothing but a random value that keeps the contact form and any sign-in secure. There is no tracking, no advertising and no analytics cookie, and nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing.

Where it is kept

In a database and file store hosted in London, United Kingdom, separated so that no other business using Mercatus Digital Solutions can reach Mercatus Digital Solutions's records. Photographs published on this site are rebuilt before they go up, so the location and camera details a phone hides inside a photo are removed.

How long it is kept

Enquiries and project records are kept while Mercatus Digital Solutions still needs them for the work and for their own records. Ask, and they will be deleted unless something else requires them to be kept.

What you can ask for

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for a copy, or object to it being held. There is no charge, and you will get an answer within a month. Use the contact form. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
